Straightforward guidance for choosing training and preparing for technical work.

Practical technical training environment
Eliashib Academy · Fourways

Useful, not inflated

Clear advice for practical decisions.

These notes are general guidance. Programme requirements and delivery details can change, so confirm current information directly with the academy.

01 · Before training

Ask what the programme actually includes.

Confirm the entry requirements, delivery location, timetable, practical components, assessment approach and total cost before committing. If any detail matters to your decision, ask for it in writing.

02 · During training

Treat safe practice as part of the skill.

Technical competence is more than completing a task. Good habits include preparing the workspace, selecting the right tool, following instructions, checking work and leaving the area safe for the next person.

03 · Preparing for work

Make practical ability easy to understand.

Keep a concise record of the processes, tools and supervised tasks you have completed. Use precise language in your CV and never claim a qualification, licence or level of independence you cannot verify.
